Here is this week at a glance.
Last updated Monday, February 6
After receiving the Anointing of Sick sacrament last Friday night my father decided it wasn't his time. With the help of antibiotics he recovered enough to leave hospice and after several days of treatment return to his nursing home. The problem with his gall bladder isn't going away so this is just the beginning of the end. Thank you for all the good wishes. I appreciated being with since we won't have him for much longer.
I have a lot of catching up to do with grades so I will most likely be updating Edline every few days.
We will have a Chapter 5 test in math next Monday. It is also time for a science chapter test and a social studies (Michigan Studies) soon. They won't be this week since I have to give the children study guides and review in class first. I will update this web page when I have a date picked out.
I hope you had a chance to visit our Science Expo/Open House. I am very proud of your children's work. Their science fair projects were very well done.
.Our next scheduled field trip is to Camp Copneconic on Friday, May 11. That is an all day trip to Fenton. We are outside all day involved in outdoor education classes that are very hands-on. Please start to think about that trip as well.
Open House will be Sunday, January 29 and is followed by
Indoor recess on Wednesdays and Fridays means a chance to run around and play in the Activity Center. Students need tennis shoes on those days to play on the floor. I'm happy to store old shoes in a bin in the classroom or their gym shoes if they don't need them for home.
