MIDDLE SCHOOL PROCEDURES

MORNING

¨      Enter the classroom only when a teacher is present and invites you to enter.

¨      Hang up coats, place lunches in lunch baskets, and prepare books for morning classes

¨      Check Smart board for daily information.

¨      Turn in notes, office information, etc. as called for by teacher.

¨      Put appropriate lunch choice card in pocket.  If having hot lunch/milk, check to see that your Hot Lunch/Milk Card is there.  If not, notify teacher.

¨      Actively participate in Morning Prayer and Pledge of Allegiance.

¨      Actively participate in School liturgies.

LUNCH

¨      Prepare books for afternoon classes.  Get Hot Lunch tickets, lunches, coats, and/or milk cards if needed.  Appropriate students take lunch baskets to Haney Hall.  All students pray “Blessing Before Meals”.  Teacher escorts students to lunchroom.

¨      In lunchroom, remain seated while eating.  Conduct yourself in a mature manner.  Converse with only those individuals seated near you.  Clean up the table and floor area where you are seated and dispose of garbage at  the end of the lunch period.

¨      Line up at the end of the outside lunch period and enter the building quietly.

¨      During indoor lunch periods, students remain seated in classroom.  No chalkboard use is allowed.  Games, books, quiet conversation, and/or drawing are activities of choice.

END OF DAY/DISMISSAL

¨      Return to homeroom.  Complete Daily Planner information.

¨      Collect any necessary information needing to go home in mailbox.

¨      Prepare for departure, getting necessary books, coats, etc.

¨      Participate in end-of-the-day prayer.

¨      Students remain quiet as teacher escorts them to building exit.

¨      Students will proceed to assigned bus line.

¨      Car riders will be accompanied to their vehicles by a parent/guardian.
