I was born not so long ago in Dearborn, Michigan.  Unfortunately, my dad's job moved my family to Westerville, Ohio where I had to live among the Buckeyes for many, many years.  I graduated from Bowling Green State University in 1992 with a Bachelor's Degree and earned my Masters Degree from Marygrove College in 2001.

I substitute taught for a couple years in Ohio before moving back to the Wolverine state where I taught third grade for three years at St. Thomas Aquinas in Detroit.  Arriving at St. Mary School, I taught fifth grade for one year, moved to fourth grade for nine years, and taught sixth grade for one year.  I am excited to begin my fifteenth year of teaching back in the fourth grade!

A few of my favorite television shows include Monk and Lost.  My favorite radio station is the 80's station on XM Radio.  Christmas is my favorite holiday.  My favorite authors are Patricia Cornwell, Lisa Gardner, and Stephen King.  If I am ever stranded on a deserted island I would need Tim Horton's coffee, Diet Pepsi, and pizza to survive.

My best four-legged friend is Ruby. She is adorable and very affectionate, but likes to get into trouble.  She is fond of squirrels, tomatoes, socks, toilet paper, and lounging on the furniture.  And, yes, she really does chew her ears!
