Social Studies Sites
Social Studies Links

Here are some good websites for social studies explorations. Some have printable maps and some sites are WebQuests that take you on a cyberspace investigation.

Discovery School
This site is great for brain teasers, clip art, puzzles and so much more. It has a dictionary and links to visit the International space station. There are entire explorations listed in the menu bar at the top! It's one of my favorite places to visit!

Pilgrim Story
Come on a virtual museum tour of the Pilgrim Hall Museum in Plymouth, MA. Follow the journey of the Pilgrims and Wampanoags beginning in the year 1620. Here you can find an actual journal entry by William Bradford about the first Thanksgiving in 1621. There were many subsequent ships bringing new settlers. The museum has lots of information about it all! Come and enjoy great pictures and text.

Time for Kids
We have just begun to receive our weekly classroom magazine called, Time for Kids. It is full of interesting articles and timely news stories. The Time for Kids website has current event resources, games, and much more. You may want to add this site to your "Favorites" list.

White House History
This site shares some great White House history.
