2) Give your thesis statement

3) Mistakes to avoid:

   a. Avoid a purpose statement, such as "The purpose of this ..." or "I am going to tell you ..." or "Now I will prove ..."

   b. Avoid repetition of the title or text

   c. Avoid complex or difficult questions that puzzle your reader

   d. Avoid simple definitions - explain

   e. Avoid artwork or cute lettering
