Imaginary Trip to Washington Imaginary Trip to Washington

On January 7,2009 the students were given the first letter to introduce our imaginary trip. A copy is on this page. Students are to earn $150.00 of imaginary money to pay for the hotel and their food. These passbooks are due on January 28th. Have fun earning the money.

Trip Update: Almost everyone has earned a seat on the bus now it is time to pack! Students have been given directions but just in case you lost them , they are attached here. Suitcases are due on February 11th! Have fun!

It's time to pick roommates. Click here to see who your child's roommate will be.  The password is our room number with no spaces.

Our room will look a little different... here are some pics.

Here is a link at the hotel we will be staying at. Washington Hilton

Our first day in Washington will have us taking a bus tour to see all of the monuments and memorials.

Here are samples of what we saw!

Thursday- Here are some of the sites that we saw.

The Vietnam Wall

The F.B.I.

We also will be learning about the Congress and Senate. Just how do things become laws? Laws

We will also visit the Supreme Court.

Today is Friday, our last day in Washington. I am hoping that everyone has enjoyed the visit and have learned a lot about our nation's capital. If you're looking for a get-a-away during our Easter break perhaps Washington DC is the place to go!!

Today we will tour the White House. We will have a special press conference with The President.

I am also hoping to get to the Pentagon for a short visit.

Then it's off souvenir shopping. We will be back to school by 1:30.
