Thank you to everyone who so promptly sent in their Acceptable Use Policy. At this point in October, we are only missing one!
Kindergarten has been busy using www.starfall.com to practice using the mouse and learning about their ABCs. First Grade has spent the last few weeks trying some alphabet games on the computer and also some counting games. Next we hope to work on our drawing skills. Look for some happy, scary, and interesting pumpkins soon!
Study Island is a hit again this year. We are very fortunate to have the program for Grades 2 - 6 for both Math, Reading, and ELA! Students have their username and password. This is also something they can work on at home. The website is www.studyisland.com. Using game mode is a great motivator. You must get the answer correct to play the game! We will be finishing the pretests soon and then we can begin on the actual skills.
4th Grade finished their "Wordle Cloud". You'll see them hanging on the wall at Curriculum night. 3rd Grade is going to create an "All About Me" project using Inspiration. Sixth Grade will be working on their "Saint" project the next few weeks in class. It is great to be able to extend their classroom activities into the computer lab.
There are still a few students who do not have their own headphones in a ziploc bag. These headphones stay in the computer lab for the school year. Please bring them to school as soon as possible. If this is a problem for any student, please just let me know.
