Spelling words three times each are due every Tuesday.  Write each word in a sentence is due by Thursday each week. 

Students should begin to practice multiplication facts at home each night.  We will begin timed tests after February break.  They will take a test each day.  They will have to answer 100 questions in 6 minutes and pass with 97% or higher two times before moving on to the next fact.  This will continue through the rest of the year or until everyone has mastered each fact.  Everyone will work at their own pace and the fact they are working on will be private unless they share it with others.  Five to ten minutes a night with flashcards or Alien Multiplication on the website is great practice.

The NYS tests begin the week after Spring break.  They will take ELA the first week over the course of three days and Math the following week over three days.  Please make sure that they are getting enough sleep and eating a good breakfast during that time.
