I believe homework is important because it helps students make the most of their experiences in school.  By doing their homework, students reinforce and apply what they have learned in class.  They also learn responsibility and independence and develop positive study habits. 

Homework will be sent home on a daily basis.   The homework will generally consist of 1 Language Arts page and 1 Mathematics page per night.  In addition, students are expected to practice their sight words each night and read for 10 minutes. I do expect an adult to sit down and go over the answers with the child after they have attempted the assignment on their own. 

Please remember: homework is counted for a grade on our report card.
