Imagination and Innovation In Middle School Biotechnology Education
Vision: Our vision is to build a robust pipeline of bioprocess technicians, scientists and bio-entrepreneurs to attract and sustain the growth of the biotechnology industry in the State of NC. Mission: I. We create vertically-integrated K-14 curricula for biotechnology with the following features:
- highly-motivating and diverse project-based learning opportunities within authentic and simulated learning environments
- using cutting-edge instructional technologies and
- aligned to State, National and Industry Standards
II. We are effective in recruiting middle school students to consider careers in biotechnology. III. We educate school districts on the value of our curricula. IV. We provide school districts with programs to train faculty and empower them to implement our curricula. Our Values:
