Global Education
Visions:

Our motto:  "In service to the greater good"

We empower the next generation of leaders to create sustainable systems that restore the earth.

We work in a global network of connected classrooms representing every sub-continent of the world.

We belong to other like-minded organizations to support teams of teachers, parents and students all collaborating together on problems of global significance.

We are fully supported by forward-looking international philanthropic organizations and from both private and public sectors.

Mission:

I.  Our teams of teachers, students, parents and local citizens work together to provide economically and environmentally sustainable long-term solutions to local issues with global impacts by:
  • conducting interviews to determine the most compelling needs of their local community
  • performing laboratory, field and web-based research to evaluate appropriate-scale solutions that meet the local need(s)
  • documenting performance on their proposed solutions to contribute to a growing international database of appropriate-scale solutions

II.  We are effective in recruiting schools across the globe to participate in our real-world problem solving projects.

III.  We educate school districts on the value of participation.

IV.  We provide school districts with access to the information needed to replicate this program and to train faculty by empowering them with the tools and technology needed to implement real-world problem solving projects.

Some of Our Guiding Principles:

  1. Find your passion, commit yourself fully to it and act boldly.
  2. Look beyond yourself and seek to serve others.
  3. Develop positive, loving, respectful relationships with yourself and others.
  4. Always do your best and accept your best without comparing it to others.
  5. Savor each moment to live life to its fullest.
  6. Plan before you act.
  7. Reflect, revise and never give up.
  8. Nurture the whole individual, mind, heart, body and spirit.
  9. Listen to teach, talk to understand.
  10. Seek to fully experience each moment before diminishing it with a convenient label.

Our Values:

  1. We believe that we are members of a global community with common needs that bind us together as one human species.
  2. We combine our intelligence with our hearts to meet the challenges of the 21st century.
  3. We value supportive learning environments that fosters creativity, innovation and continual growth both as individual members as a community and an organization.
  4. We are persistant in meeting our goals.
  5. We incorporate state-of-the-art best practices in global communications, program management, curriculum design and instructional technologies grounded in education research.
