Bullying Awareness Week 

“A Focus On Friendship” Poster Contest:

All students at G.G.B. participated in a poster contest to celebrate

Bullying Awareness Week, October 20-24, 2008.  The theme of

the poster contest was “A Focus On Friendship.”  Students were

asked to create a picture about friendship.  Teachers read a book

about friendship to their students.  There were three poster

judging rounds by staff and the student body.  Those students

with posters selected from their classroom were awarded with

an incentive.  All students were given an “I’m A Good Friend”

certificate for their participation.  Posters were hung on the

walls along the school ramp.  Students were encouraged

to show friendship and be a friend for each other.    

The winner of the poster contest is Alyssa Hardy from

Mrs. Gabriel's 2nd Grade class.   Alyssa’s poster can be

seen on-line through the Bradford Area School District

web site.  Alyssa Hardy was awarded with a $25.00 gift

certificate.  Congratulations Alyssa!
