Blaisdell Elementary School 265 Constitution Avenue Bradford, PA 16701 (814) 362-6834 FAX: (814) 362-7163  Bullying Awareness Week “A Focus On Friendship” Poster Contest: All students at G.G.B. participated in a poster contest to celebrate Bullying Awareness Week, October 20—24th. The theme of the poster contest was “A Focus On Friendship.” Students were asked to create a picture about friendship. Teachers read a book about friendship to their students. There were three poster judging rounds by staff and the student body. Those students with posters selected from their classroom were awarded with an incentive. All students were given an “I’m A Good Friend” certificate for their participation. Posters were hung on the walls along the school ramp. Students were encouraged to show friendship and be a friend for each other. The winner of the poster contest is Alyssa Hardy from Mrs. Gabriel’s Second Grade class. Alyssa’s poster is printed in the Bradford Era Newspaper and Bradford Area School District Newsletter. Alyssa Hardy was awarded with a $25.00 gift certificate. Congratulations Alyssa! Clothing Collection Throughout the school year (September to June), the Elementary Counselor will collect clean, gently used or brand-new clothing items of young children sizes for George G. Blaisdell Elementary students who are in need. If donating gently used clothing items, please make sure all items are clean and washed before dropping them off at the school. Please donate clothing items for young children at the George G. Blaisdell Elementary Main Office or the Counselor’s office. Thank You!
