Math Homework Policy There will be Math homework assigned every night except Fridays. This homework will consist of 1 to 2 written workbook pages and/or worksheets which will compliment the material covered in class that day. Students may also be asked to study new Math terms as they are introduced. I request that all Math work be done in PENCIL !! I expect every homework assignment to be done as though it were a test grade. Homework will be corrected each day and I will keep track of assignments. If your child is having trouble with a particular skill, I would rather you not help them. I prefer students to circle or * a problem(s) that they find difficult and let me know first thing in class the next morning. I will be sure to spend extra time correcting and reviewing these problems. If a student is unable to do their homework assignment due to a personal family matter, I request a note from home. For students that are out sick, I will try to send home the work for the day. If I cannot get it home, the student will not be expected to complete that day's assignment. Math Extra Help During the course of the year, some students may have difficulty in Math. I will schedule Extra Math sessions on Wednesdays from 7:30-8:00 a.m. I will send home a notice to inform you of when these sessions will begin. Before each test, the students will be informed when the before school help sessions will take place. Online Resources Our textbook publisher offers a wonderful online resource for extra practice of the material covered in our classroom each day.
