Weekly Homework

Homework will be assigned on Monday and is to be returned on Friday of the same week. The contract is set up with daily assignments. Please follow the schedule so students do a little each night. Homework should take from 15-20 minutes each night to complete. Any school books sent home for a reading assignment MUST be returned the following morning. All first grade classes share these books. If they are not returned another child will not have reading materials. Any school book not returned must be brought back to school or paid for before a new book will be sent home.

In addition to the homework packet, students are expected to read 15 minutes every night. A "reading log" will be sent home at the beginning of each month, so that the students and parents can keep track of their nightly reading.
