Miss McCarthy’s First Grade Class

Classroom/School wide W.I.S.E Owl Expectations:

W-Winning Attitude – “I can do it!”

I-Integrity – “I will do the right thing, even when no one is looking.”

S-Show Respect and Responsibility – “I will respect others, myself, and property and be responsible for my own learning.”

E-Encourage Others – “I will be kind and supportive with my words and actions.”

Consequences for breaking rules:

1.       A reminder that you are off task.

2.    Move your clothespin to “warning” (orange).

3.     Move your clothespin to “note home” (red) and a note will be sent home to parent(s).

4.     A visit to the principal’s office only when all other consequences have been used.

Positive Reinforcements:

1.       Move your clothespin to “good job” (green) and “wow” (blue).

2.    Praise/Stickers

3.     Class-wide reward (P.E., popcorn party, playtime on “big kids” playground, etc.)

4.     “Wow!” Blue W.I.S.E. Owl note home to parents and WISE Owl tickets to be used for rewards
