First Graders Are Fantastic! Read with them daily -
Re-read books -Researchers have shown that repeated readings help children internalize stories and understand them in greater detail. They also reinforce language patterns and story sequencing (Mayers, 2010) -
Ask questions related to story Math: -
Practice Telling Time using an analog clock and digital clock -
-- Telling time to hour & half an hour -
Count & Identify coins with them anychance you get, as we all know...it is a very important skill :) -
Practice math facts with child (make it fun by making a memory game, flashcards, or exploring the kid websites I have attached under Parent & Kid Friendly Websites section) -
