Research An Important Historical Figure

Task:

Your task is to research and find information about the historical figure you have been assigned. 

Use the following Internet Site for access to Reference Databases, Encyclopedia, and other approved internet resources to collect information about the historical figure you have been assigned:

·       Encyclopedias

·       World Book Encyclopedia – located in Programs, Grades 5 & 6

Slide 1

Title slide should include the name of your assigned figure.   The sub-title should be:  By:  Your Name.

Slide 2

When was he born, when did he/she die?  What state, colony, or country did he/she come from?  Was heshe married and to whom?  Did he/she have any children and what were their names?

Slides 3

What was his/her occupation?  Did he/she have a nick-name?  Was this person important for other than historical reasons? (e.g. In colony, state/city or town etc.)

Slide 4 & 5

List at least 3 accomplishments or give 3 reasons why this figure is important and should be remembered.

Slide 6

If you were this person, would you have done anything differently?  Explain.
