THE GREAT APPLE RACE The Red Mill Great Apple Race is the culminating event for our fall running program. The students have been working very hard training for this race. Kindergartners and 1st graders run one lap (300 meters). 2nd - 5th graders run two laps (600 meters). Certificates and apples are given to all participants. Awards for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place are given to those boys and girls in each grade level. A Delicious Apple Award is given to those students in each class that demonsrate outstanding effort and sportsmanship! All sudents are encouraged to run and DO THEIR BEST! Award ceremony takes place in the upstairs gymnasium at 2:30pm.
