About 'Team Riverside':

Every year, the Riverside community walks in support of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society at their annual Light the Night Walk.

After Walk, Raffle winners are announced

Team Riverside Volunteers will be working in the Raffle Tent, and Riverside's Select Chorus will be singing the National Anthem!

-Unfortunately, everyone knows someone who has been afected by cancer. Purchase a Commemorative Star for $5 with their name on it that will be dispayed at the Walk. (Stars are currently on display in the Library)

About Light the Night:

The Society’s major fundraiser is their annual ‘Light the Night the Walk’ (www.lightthenight.org).  Light the Night is an evening fun walk to celebrate and commemorate the lives of people touched by cancer.  Walkers hold illuminated balloons-white for survivors, red for supporters-and light the night with hope. Prior to the walk, a carnival-like atmosphere is created. There will be food, music, games, a Chinese Auction, and guest speakers- where friends, family members, neighbors, co-workers and others come together to demonstrate their support for cancer patients. Anyone can take part- children, adults and seniors are all welcome.  This is a casual Walk with no fitness requirements.
