Safety Information

Safety is one of the biggest concerns I have.  Throughout this class  you will be exposed to many different chemicals that when given different environments can be potentially dangerous.  So it is very important that you enter the classroom aware of your surrounding, make sure your area is neat and clean.  do not touch anything with out permission.  This page has a sub page of the Finn Scientific Safety Contract, you will not be allowed to complete a lab until I have a signed copy on file.  One of the things we do at Coronado to help with the issue of labs and class size, is break it into 2 days.  Splitting a class of 40+ students into to half reduces the dangers that can exist because the classroom is too crowded.   This does slow the curriculum down a bit, but I feel safety should be a priority.
