Welcome

I am so excited about our brand new state-of-the-art computer lab. We have 30 laptops, network printer and a Smart board. Computer classes at Immaculate Conception Catholic Regional School begin in kindergarten and run through Grade 8.  My goal is to establish a foundation in computer knowledge that will provide students with an understanding of how technology is used in the real world. Computer class on all grade levels are taught to enhance learning with the integration of technology into the curriculum.

Students will be taught computer basics including; login and shut down procedures, computer parts, input and output devices, mouse skills, and keyboarding. This course will integrate a range of technology skills at different grade levels into student learning including; word processing, spreadsheets, PowerPoint, Excel, electronic research, e-mail, video, audio and digital presentation skills.

Emphasis will be placed on using technology for research, communication and collaboration, critical thinking, problem solving and creativity.
