Classroom Rules and Procedures

I am expecting your best behavior and these are my rules:

·         Be on time with all necessary materials. Folder, book, pencil or pen to be brought to class every day.

·         Follow directions. Do not talk while the teacher is talking or during intercom announcements.

·         Show respect for people and property.

·         Move in an orderly manner at all times. Do not leave your seat without the teacher’s permission. If you must sharpen your pencil or throw away paper, do so before class starts of after class.

·         Follow all rules as stated in the student handbook. No gum, candy, food or drinks in the classroom.

Each time you break a rule, I will sign your name in “The Book”.

First time: Warning

Second time: Warning

Third time: 1 hour detention/phone call home

Fourth time: 2 hours detention/ phone call home

Fifth time: 2 hours detention/phone call home

Sixth time and over: Office referral

More serious class disruptions will result in immediate after detention or an office referral.

REWARDS

Each class receives 3 behavior points per day. Each class must keep their points each day in order to participate in the drawings on Friday. Behavior points depend on the behavior of the class each day. If there is good behavior, the class keeps their points. If there is bad class behavior, the class loses points. I will give the class a warning before taking away points, but once the class loses points, there is not way to get them back. If the class loses all 3 points on any day for bad behavior, they will not have a drawing for their class that week. Candy bar drawings happen on Fridays, at the end of class. At the end of the 9 weeks, the class with the most behavior points gets a reward.
