My Dear Families, Happy February! Our class has moved through a very exciting Catholic Schools Week! We enjoyed Pajama Day, as well as our Senior Tea, when we performed for our senior citizens. Our school prides itself on service to others, and this event was stellar. Wacky Day was a great success! The children went all out to look as wacky as possilble, and we ended the day with board games, drawing, and building with base ten blocks. During the rest of the month, we'll continue our focus on Black History. It is very difficult for the children to imagine an era in their country when people did not have equal rights because of the color of their skin. They are learning that it is important to know the stories so that they can retell them, and pass them on. Much love to everyone who is reading this as you wend your way through February.
