Dear Families:
We hope you had a wonderful summer and are looking forward to being part of a wonderful learning experience this school year. The joint effort between us, along with your child’s hard work is expected to bring a year filled with academic and social growth.
Being aware that all students have individual learning styles, it is our goal to provide a structured learning environment that encourages creativity, exploration and cooperative learning with flexible groups. As we get to know your child, we will fine tune instruction and activities according to the needs we observe.
There’s great pleasure in telling others the wonderful things about your child. As proud mothers, we believe no accomplishment is too small to share. We welcome your thoughts on your child’s learning style, hobbies, interests and history as it can only help us maximize his/her learning experience. You can e-mail us or send in a letter with your child.
Throughout the school year, our class will use a variety of materials to stay organized. To be fully prepared for class each day, please make sure your child brings in all supplies. The supply list on the back of this letter may be a little different than what you received in June. If there are any additional items on this list that were not on the June’s list, please send in the additional items as soon as you can. We appreciate it.
Never forget that your participation in your child’s education is very important. We are looking forward to the challenging, fun-filled journey through third grade.

2 Plastic Folders
1 Pack wide ruled loose leaf
15-24 sharpened pencils
1 Hand-help pencil sharpener
3 Large glue sticks
1 pair scissors
1 large eraser
5 pads of Post-it Notes (no smaller than 3X3)
1 Box Zip-loc bags (quart or gallon size w/zipper, not press seal)
Fabric Pencil Case
1 box colored pencils or crayons (no more than 32 count)
Disinfectant wipes or unscented baby wipes
Hand sanitizer or hand soap
1 roll paper towels
1 large box of tissues
