About the Teacher

This is my sixteenth year teaching second grade.  I have also taught Kindergarten for 15 years and first grade for 4 years.  Thirty-one of my previous thirty-four years of teaching experience have been here at Camp Creek.  My first three years were in Waynesboro, Georgia, in Burke County, near Augusta.

I am originally from Miami Springs, Florida, although many members of my family now live here in the Atlanta area.

I love animals and have had cats for many years.  I have just lost my precious adopted cat, Boodles, she was about 15 years old.  I will miss her very much, but will remember her love and kindness she showed me for so many years.   We still have our class pet, a gerbil, named Isabella!

I enjoy a variety of crafts and spending time relaxing and being with my family and friends.
