Hi everyone! Let me introduce myself. I'm Mrs. Ford and I teach 3rd Grade at Green Meadow Elementary School.  Here I am in front of my house....not really!  (It's the Sagamore at Lake George.)

I have always wanted to be a teacher, mostly because I had some really inspirational teachers in my life. I have taught many grades from 9th down to 2nd, but my absolute favorite is 3rd grade. I love teaching all of the subjects, especially reading and science. However, I have to admit I am not a very good artist! I appreciate anyone who can draw and sketch and I love doing projects, but your artwork will probably end up looking much better than mine!

My husband and I live on  Schodack's last dirt road where we see wildlife every day. Once we even had a deer on our front porch! Unfortunately they love to eat our garden plants and shrubs....this guy looks like he is enjoying a leafy meal!

During the summer I like to spend time with friends and trying to keep the weeds at bay in the garden. I also like to travel and will be going to hot and steamy Florida in August. I hope I miss the hurricanes this time! 

 I am thinking of the class of  2007-2008 and if they read this I hope they know I  wish them a wonderful summer and a great time next year in whatever class they are in!                  

I am also looking forward to meeting the new 3rd graders in September. Our 3rd Grade team has a lot of exciting things in store for you as we take our Fantastic Flying Journey and stop in places like Australia, the Arctic regions, and our big unit on  Egypt.  See you  at all of our events, parents!
