Dear Room 119 Families and Friends,

It was an absolute pleasure being in your company at our Kindergarten Orientation!  For me, it's always exciting meeting my new batch of Room 119ers for the first time.  The look of excitement and curiosity (and sometimes a bit of apprehension) on their faces as they enter Room 119 for the first time is priceless.  I was impressed with their social skills as well as the way many of them connected through play.  All of them were eager and not the least bit upset to board the bus for their first ride.  I was already proud of them as they listened to the bus expectations then smiled and waved as they pulled away.  And, having been there myself, I vividly remember that tug on my heartstrings as I left my own children at school for the first time.  As I mentioned at our orientation, it is far more difficult on the parents the first few days than it is on the littles.

Lastly, I would like to remind you that you are welcome to ring Room 119 with any questions or concerns you may have throughout the school year.  Additionally, Room 119 loves visitors and helping hands so feel free to visit us if you'd like.  All we ask is that you give us a bit of notice so we can plan a project that maximizes your volunteerism!

In the meantime, take a deep breath and enjoy the start of your kindergartener's educational career!

Room 119 Future Friendly Tip:  Walk instead of drive everywhere you can.  It's both environmentally and economically sound.  And remember when doing so to always hold hands and stick together!!!
