Meet the Teacher
|
|
Hello! As you know by now my name is Marshelle George. After receiving a BS in Education from Elizabethtown College, I began teaching second grade in the Elizabethtown School District. Fast forward a few years and suddenly my husband and I have 5 fabulous children. After a (very) long hiatus to raise them, I returned to the wonderful world of teaching!
Of those five children I presently have two in college, two in high school, and one in middle school. Although it's fun watching my children grow, a big part of me misses those bygone days when they were just starting their elementary career. That's why I felt so privileged as well as excited to land in Kindergarten. With this being the beginning of my fifth year, I believe I have license to say that I have one of the best jobs in the entire world! Almost instantly, Kindergarten felt like home to me. I'm hoping, within a short amount of time, it feels like a home away from home for your child as well!
Although this is the designated "Meet the Teacher" page, I want to take this opportunity to mention how delighted I was to meet all of you at orientation. With that said, I leave you with this parting thought by Mr. Fred Rogers. "If you could only sense how important you are to the lives of those you meet; how important you can be to the people you may never dream of. There is something of yourself that you leave at every meeting with another person." Our meeting has left me with many great impressions. Looking forward to many more...
Fondly,
Marshelle George
