52 OIS Writers have set out to write over 380,000 words this month using the NaNoWriMo*

Young Writers Program.

Terms to know:

NaNoWriMo:  (n‚ – noh- ri –moh)  *November is National Novel Writing Month. It was started in 1999 by a bunch of grown-ups, but now has a Young Writers Program.

Word Count Goal:  Using a 10-minute writing sample, your child and I calculated their 30-day goal – taking into account how long each individual thought s/he would write each day.

WriMo:  Fun name for a person attempting this month-long writing craze.
