Bienvenidos a la clase de la Señora Downes

My name is Malena Downes and I teach Spanish 7-12.  This is my 4th. year at NYOS and I am hoping we will have a smooth and good year together.  I am from Monterrey, Mexico, and have lived in Austin since 1994.

We will  learn Spanish with a variety of activities: lecturing, reading, worksheets, listening comprehension, projects, role-playing, videos, writing and field trips.  We will cover vocabulary, grammar, and cultural aspects. 

Supplies for every Spanish class:

4 pocket folders

2 packs of index cards

1 spiral notebook

1  1.5  inch binder.
