Spotlight Shines Brightly at Three Piggy Opera
The Three Piggy Opera was presented by the Saint Paul School Kindergarten Class on Wednesday evening. The young performers wowed an audience of family and friends with a musical rendition of the three little pigs. The audience laughed and clapped and held their breath as Cast 1 and Cast 2 performed the ageless story of three little pigs leaving their home for the very first time and learning important life lessons about family and durable building materials. The beautiful piano music showcased the students singing talents which included moving solo performances and rousing group numbers. The wolves version of the classic “I want a big fat pig to eat” was a clear crowd favorite with a tune that stays with you days after the performance. In the end the pigs were triumphant and the wolves were sent off, blowing on their tails. The three little pigs learned they can always count on each other when times are tough. This reporter thoroughly enjoyed the show!
St. Paul's kindergarten class put on a wonderful production of the 3 Piggy Opera on Wednesday night. Cast members did a great job remembering their lines and singing loud and clear so the audience could hear them. They also did a fantastic job at teamwork, helping their cast mates sing and remember what they were supposed to do on stage. The costumes and stage scenery were very creative. The cast mates worked very well together and did a lot of work preparing for the enjoyable show. The audience had a lot of fun watching such a great, fun performance. Terrific job cast mates!

Bravo!! St. Paul's kindergarten gave an outstanding performance last night!! The audience was wowed by your singing ability. Keep up the good work!!
All of you kids should be very proud of yourselves. What a fantastic performance! The audience was amazed at how wonderful you were, especially your singing.
I was so impressed with your wonderful performances last night. Both casts did a super job with the opera. Although both shows used the same script they both felt like different plays because of the change in the casting! Well Done Everyone! Thank you Ms. Dionne for all your hard work to make it such a special night.
THE 3 PIGGY OPERA
What a wonderful production!!!! The families of the St. Paul's School Kindergarten class were in for a real treat last evening. The pigs squealed with delight, the salesmen sold their straw, sticks, and bricks and the wolves were very, very scary. All cast members played their parts well, costumes were great and the singing was excellent. The class sure looked like they were 1st Graders. CONGRATULATIONS!!
The Epic Clash of Pig vs. Wolf Dazzles Sold Out Crowd
The crowd waited in great anticipation as the wonderful St. Paul Kindergarten cast of "The Three Piggy Opera" approached the stage. Cast One and Cast Two were equally incredible. The pigs were portrayed with great care and attention to detail. The frightful wolves brought fear to those brave enough to sit in the front row (We were particularly impressed by Neil Keohane's interpretation of the hungry beast). The stick, brick and straw sellers were perfect. The singing voices of all involved were glorious. The music by Sal Bartolotti conveyed great emotion and the narration by Mrs. Ward brought us into the story.
The pig costumes were so realistic that we could smell the barnyard and the wolf costumes would keep even the most brazen Canadian goose at bay.
It was a great evening and all the kids of the St. Paul Kindergarten should be very proud.
Bravo!
Dear Kindergarten Class,
We are writing to tell you how much we LOVED your performances last night in the 3 PIGGY OPERA!!! Both Cast #1 and Cast #2 did an excellent job!! Everyone remembered their parts and sang SOOO beautifully!!! You should all be very, very proud of yourselves!!!! Thank you for putting on such a wonderful show!!!
Dear Kindergarten class,
Wow, what a show! The 2008 rendition of The Three Piggy Opera gets an A plus!
The decor and costumes were great and the actors’ performances were all excellent.
It is apparent that a lot of time and rehearsal went into the opera. The singing was wonderful and with continued dedication to the arts you could all be on Broadway one day!
A special thumbs up goes to the Stick Peddlers!
The Actors Guild Review
The Saint Paul's production of the 3 Piggy Opera was a wonderful event. The cast was fantastic, the costumes were terrific and the music was divine! Three cheers for the 3 Piggy Opera!
"The Three Piggy Opera was a smashing success! The set is colorful and creative! The music is spunky and entertaining! The actors and singers are brilliant! Highly recommended!!!!"
Dear Cast of the Three Piggy Opera,
Absolutely fantastic!! The singing, choreography and smiles on those
beautiful faces was outstanding. Loved the costumes and sweet
voices. Hats off to the production crew as well. Looking forward
to another performance!
The opening lines of Three Piggy Opera warn the front row to be brave. In the end, it wasn't bravery they needed but earmuffs - to lessen the noise of the thunderous applause that erupted at the end of the performances last night. What a delight to see these young stars shine so brightly. The singing was excellent and the stage set was creative and lifelike. The songs are still playing in my head "I want a big, fat pig to eat...."
I have been to many opera performances in my life but last night's Three Piggy Opera was the best production this critic has ever seen. Three cheers for The Three Piggy Opera.
What a terrific performance!! The St. Paul's Kindergarten must have taken singing lessons before treating us to this opera. The children's voices were loud and clear and beautiful!! The costumes, the set, the smiles on the actors' faces, all made for a special evening. Bravo!! Congrats to Ms. Dionne, cast one and cast two!!!
“What a night at St. Pauls School ! The Kindergarten class put on an evening to remember! I have never seen such scary wolves! Neil M, Peter, Neil K, Michael K, Frances and Margot had us tapping our feet along to their song… I can’t stop singing it even now! Shaielyn played mother pig to perfection! The 3 pigs, Stephanie, Fiona and Jacob were so strong; I knew they could defeat those hungry wolves. And the sellers…Nick, Sean and Emma, they sang each note clearly and loudly, I wanted to buy what they were selling!. The class must have practiced so very hard as everybody pitched in and did their part! Bravo to the Kindergarten class!
What a success! The wolves were scary and the pigs were cute! 50 cents for a bale of sticks is too cheap... no wonder it blew down so easily
The music was uplifting, the costumes fantastic and the acting and singing were super. We laughed at the fun parts, we cried when the pigs' houses were blown down and we celebrated when the wolves never came back. Bopera, Bopera, three piggy opera!
Thank all of you for a wonderful evening (and the pizza was good, too!).
We were very excited all day yesterday with the anticipation of attending last night's "3 Piggy Opera." We were not disappointed.
We were pleased by the effort put forth by all members of the cast. The originality of the set design, props, and costumes reflected the time and care that was put into the show.
The pigs were all very believable, and the wolves were incredibly scary. The exchanges between the peddlers and the Pigs came off without a hitch. The reaction of the Little Pigs to the Wolves was very authentic. All members of the cast scored very high on the adorability scale.
Kudos to the narrator, director and music director, for helping these peddlers, pigs and wolves truly achieve the goal of entertaining their audience. We're thrilled that we videotaped it for prosperity.
Your Class performed the 3 Piggy Opera so well. I laughed, I
cried....it was THE BEST!
Thank you for all the hard work. The children looked like they
practiced so hard!
Congratulations to all.
