“For the things of this world cannot be made known without a knowledge of mathematics” - Roger Bacon
A little bit about me...
I am Michele Culley and this is my 21st year teaching in the Cecil County Public School system. After graduating from EHS and earning my Bachelor's degree in Secondary Mathematics Education at the University of Delaware, I returned to EHS to begin my teaching career. After one year at EHS, I transferred to Cherry Hill Middle School where I taught for nine years. I left Cherry Hill to become the Mathematics Resource Teacher for grades K-12 in the Mathematics Office at the Board of Education Offices. Soon after joining the Math Office, I earned a Master of Education Degree from Loyola College. After four years in the math office, I decided I needed to return to the classroom - I MISSED TEACHING! I am beginning my seventh year back at Elkton High School and I am very happy to be teaching here. On a personal note, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Gene, and my two daughters Jennifer, who graduated in June, 2009 from Elkton High and Jordan, a 7th grader at Elkton Middle School. I enjoy bowling, playing tennis, and going to plays (especially musicals). I am looking forward to getting to know my students this year and having another wonderful year at EHS.
