Test Taking Strategies

Try using some of these strategies as you study for your tests!

Divide

Multiply

Subtract

Check answer is smaller than the divisor

Bring down next number (if any)

Check by multiplying

* Flashcards

Create flashcards by writing the vocabulary word on one side and the definition on the other.  Ask someone to ask you the words and you give the definition.  Then have someone give you the definition and you say the word.

Flashcards can be adapted for Math Facts and for Study Guides.

*Tic Tac Toe

Use the Tic Tac Toe Gameboard and the O and X pieces you received in school or make up your own gameboard and pieces.  With a partner, play the game using your Vocabulary, Spelling, Math Facts, or Study Guides!

*Baseball Concentration

Use the Baseball Vocabuary Cards you received in school and play a game of Concentration with a partner. Concentration can also be played in many subject areas.
