Here's the Latest News From Room 300!

Wednesday is an Early Release Day, 11:15 Dismissal!

Happy Thanksgiving!

In Math, we are continuing our unit on Patterns and Relations.  This week we are working with factors and creating arrays.  We are also working very hard on our Multiplication Facts.  You never know when I will be asking for a product.  We have started having some fun with our facts.  On Tuesday, there will be a test on the Math Vocabulary words we have been using during this unit.

We are continuing our Math Facts Challenge, so study your Math facts at home. Every week we have been adding names to our list of those who have passed the Addition and Subtraction Challenge!  I hope we have some children who pass the Multiplication Challenge soon!  Everyone has an individual goal of knowing all of the addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts!

This week we are reading The Mouse and the Motorcycle in mini groups.  Each group will read a chapter and then create a comic strip to explain to the class what took place in the chapter.  There will be NO Spelling and Reading Vocabulary this week.

In Writing, the children will have their introduction into the "Show Me, Don't Tell Me" strategy in writing.  This writing strategy adds so much to creative paragraph writing. Writing multi-paragraphs is our next step in the writing process.  We are working hard with writing!

We are learning some great facts about the Northeast region for Social Studies this week.

In Science, Mrs. Riley is giving a test on the Water Cycle on Tuesday, November 24th.
