Here's the Latest News From Room 300! We are looking for desk drawers! Well, actually they are the covers on the cartons reams of copy paper come in. It would be awesome if anyone can get these covers at work for us because we are going to use them for drawers in the desks. These covers are the perfect size! Fractions will be out focus in Math this week. We'll be working with equivalent fractions and comparing fractions. In Reading, we have completed our Reading Partnerships! We are taking a week to work with Fables before we begin reading Mysteries. Vocabulary this week will be Fable vocabulary words. The test will be on Friday. We are continuing to work with Possessive Pronouns and Word Choice this week. In addition, we are talking "dialogue" this week! Super Bowl Spelling was a huge hit last week! This week we are working with open and closed syllables in Spelling. The test will be on Friday. This week, we begin a practice long composition on an important person in your life. Everyone is going to focus on a timeframe in order to complete their composition. We will also continue to practice with MCAS passages this week. Everyone should be using Evidence Based Terms in order to write "4" quality open responses. Using your MCAS strategies is really showing in your MCAS work! I am impressed! At the end of the week, we will continue on to the Midwest. There will be a map test on the Midwest states on Thursday, Feb. 16th.
