Classroom News Classroom News From Room 309

Here's the Latest News From Room 309!

Tuesday, Jan. 13th is a half day - Teacher Inservice

Dismissal at 11:15!

This week in Math, we are continuing our unit on Division. We are working with long division with and without remainders.  Keep practicing all of your division facts!  Just remember division is the inverse operation of multiplication, so if you know your multiplication facts you also know your division!

Our story for this week is Look to the North.  We are continuing with Spelling and Vocabulary.   The words this week have the ie and ei pattern.  They can be difficult, so be sure to study.  Remember the rule ~ i before e except after c. (It works most of the time.)  This will help you!  The tests will be on Friday.

In Language Arts/Writing we are moving on to plural nouns.  We may begin to review cursive writing!

We will be traveling through the Northeast region in Social Studies.  States and capitals will be a good beginning point.

Our Simple and Compound Machines test has been moved to Thursday, Jan. 15th because of the snow day and the half day!
