Paul's Epistles
Individual Letters of Paul, the Apostle |
|
On this page you will find links to files that contain the Pauline Epistles in 'free-flowing' text. These are copies from the New American Standard (Update, 1995) and are presented without the paragraph and chapter divisions. The verse numbers are included. You can save these to another word document and manipulate them to create your own paragraph divisions. As was suggested in class, read these letters as letters. Read them and re-read them. Begin to identify blocks of thought without the encumbrance of predetermined chapters and paragraphs. Take note of repititions in words, thoughts, and phrases. Get to know the text intimately. Use the literary analysis form that was suggested in class as a basis for developing your own graphical analysis.
