 June 12, 2009

We cannot believe we are writing the final newsletter of the school year!!  We hope the children are taking with them as many wonderful memories as we will have!

PROGRESS REPORTS

Today your child will bring home a year-end progress report.  Please keep in mind that this is not a “report card.”  It is an observational checklist of behaviors and skills we see in the classroom.  There is no “passing” or “failing!”  It is simply our way of letting you know about your child’s progress throughout our school year.  It is based on observations over a period of time – not a single “testing” situation.

GRADUATION

A reminder that our graduation ceremony is planned for Thursday, June 18, at 1:30 pm.  Friends and relatives are invited to attend.  It will last approximately 20-30 minutes.  We will dismiss at the end – there is no “afterschool” that day.

THANK YOU

We wish to thank Fr. Farano, Fr. Moore, Mr. Mullahy and Mrs. Cox for their continual support and spiritual guidance throughout the school year.

We also send our thanks to Mrs. Toni Howard (Keenan’s Mom) for her help throughout the year – she has been a room parent, event planner, student teacher supervisor, and a friend to our class!

We thank all the parents for entrusting your children to our care – we take that charge seriously and try to treat your children the way we would want our own to be treated.  Your constant support and generous response to our many requests throughout the year make our jobs much easier!

It is said that if a school year begins with the teacher’s smiles and the children’s tears, and ends with the children’s smiles and teacher’s tears, then it has been a very good year.  We agree.  We love your children and will miss them.  We will remember all the children in a special way, and will always wish them the best of everything!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Belles, Miss Mulligan & Mrs. Garrison
