I am excited to be teaching you this year. Being in the classroom is one of my favorite places to be and I know you will have a great year. Fourth grade is a big year for challenges and growth. I'm sure you will "stretch" yourself and find out that you can do lots more than you ever imagined.
I have been teaching since 1982 after graduating from Indiana University!! After that, I received my masters degree in middle grades education from Mercer University and my gifted certification from North Georgia University. I took some time off to be home with my three children and totally enjoyed the time with them.
I have been at Camp Creek as a parent since 1993 and as a teacher since 2002. I love being at Camp Creek and feel like it is the best school around. All three of my children went to Camp Creek and have fond memories of their years here.
I have a son, David, who graduated from Berry College and works in Carrollton, Georgia. My daughter, Kimberly, is a senior at Agnes Scott College and plays basketball for her school. She is very into the environment and I'm sure she will come into the class to meet all of you and do something for the environment with you. My daughter, Megan, is in tenth grade at Parkview High School and swims and plays tennis for PHS. I also have two very sweet pets, Murphy, the canine, and "Jazzy", our newly adopted feline. My husband, Paul, and I enjoy going to our kids' sporting events and being with our family. We also like to hike, ride bikes, travel, camp, and play tennis.
I am so excited to be teaching you this year. Fourth grade is a fun and exciting year. You will be given lots of challenges and independence and I know you will enjoy learning many new things.
