Notebook/Quizzes 30%

Homework/Daily Work 20%

Throughout this year, we will have homework on a regular basis.  The homework is kept to a minimum as much as possible, only containing about 5 problems per night (sometimes more, sometimes less).  The homework is always due the next school day.  If it is not brought the next day, the student will be given a chance to bring it in the following day with a 25% reduction.  If the work is not turned in the second day, the student will receive a zero.  Every couple of weeks, we will have a test.  The notebook has been thoroughly explained to the students.  It needs to have three dividers: one for bellwork/notes, one for homework, and the last for quizzes.  The students will receive a few homework problems each day that will be taken up for a weekly grade on Friday.  It is imperative that they keep their notebook organized so that they do not loose their homework from a day early in the week.  It is the student's responsibility to keep up with this.  A failure to do this will result in a loss of credit for that work.  When a student is absent, they will be given two days per day missed to turn in makeup work.  If the work is not done in this time frame, then the student will receive a zero for missing assignments.  Also, it is the student's responsibility to get any make up work from me as well as turn it into me.  If there are ever any extenuating circumstances that conflict with this policy, I am always open to listen.
