Parents,

What a wonderful week and a great closing to the school year! On Monday we went to the Wilson Bison Farm. The children went on a nature hike with a representative from Ky. Fish and Wildlife,  got a tour of their organic gardens and greenhouse, rode on a hay wagon, and in the woods was a musician singing the song “Froggy Went a Courtin”. The characters were dressed as Froggy, Ms. Mouse, and the Bumblebee. They acted out the song and invited the children to join them for a tea party in the woods with a silver teapot. This was followed by a wonderful lunch of bison hot dogs. Afterwards they had a presentation from Raptor Rehabilitation. The rain stopped and it ended with a perfect field trip. If you run into J.B,Steve Wilson, or Dena Wilson… please let them know how much your child enjoyed the day. I have enclosed a copy of the thank you that your child wrote in their work today.

On Monday will be our 100 Book Celebration. We will have a pizza party for lunch and some other fun activities planned for the day!!  Wednesday will be the Talent Show. We will have a cookout on Thursday  with a final assembly. Our End-of-the-Year assembly is at 12:45 and a make your own sundae will follow.  We do have a 2:00 dismissal on that day.

Please send a large bag to school on Wednesday. We will be bringing home the change of clothes and school supplies from their cubbie.

How hard it is to believe that we only have four days of school left!!
