I. Parts of Speech: Review of the Eight Sentence Building Blocks

A review of the basic parts of speech is covered during the first trimester (and revisited during the course of the year). This work is done in conjunction with the topics covered in Section III. Sentence Problems and Variety. These topics will also generally fall under review once students begin revising and final editing their own written work
