Classroom News
November brings a wealth of kindergarten activities and topics. We will focus on spiders, Autumn, Thanksgiving, Woodland animals, and Native Americans. The entire student body will be involved in our community outreach program for local senior citizens. Kindergartners will make book marks for the baskets and will be asked to donate a food item. More information will be sent home in the next few weeks. This traditional community activity culminates in a Harvest Festival celebrating music and dance. The annual League of Women Voters "Community Read Along" will take place on Monday, November 17. Classes will welcome a community leader who will read a favorite book to the class. School meetings take place monthly to emphasize the four R's; Respect, Responsibility, Resourcefulness, and Reflection. Student council members perform skits and lead the study body through example. This months' meeting will kick off the annual turkey drive. School closes on Wed., November 26, at 11:45 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.
