How an Essay is edited. 

Example for class.

Step 1: Find the Example Assignment (.doc) below and double click to download.

Step 2: Save the file to your computer, and name the file like this: StudentID#+Your Name+Your class number+Assignment title. (For example: 20001111LisaWells10Essay1)

Step 3: Turn-on the Track-Changes feature of MSword. Tools->Track Changes (Ctrl+Shift+E)

Step 4: Set-up your Readablity Statistics Box (See Readablity Statistics Box below)

Step 5: Run the Spelling and Grammar check feature of MSword.

Step 6: At the end of the Spelling and Grammar check, a Readablity Statistics Box will automatically pop-up. Press Ctrl+Alt+PrintScreen. This will save the readablity box to your computer's memory. Now copy/paste the readablity box at the end of essay. Save.

Step 7: Download the Chapter 10 Essay Criteria file below, and save the file to your computer. The file name should be the same as the MSword document.S tudentID#+Your Name+Your class number+Assignment title. (For example: 20001111LisaWells10Essay1)

Step 8: Using the Essay Criteria file, edit the essay. Use the comments feature to tell the writer their essay score and about major mistakes in their essay. 

Step 9: Circle/Highlight and calculate the essay score by filling-in the Essay Criteria file.

Step 10: Save the edited Chapter 10 Assignment file and Essay Criteria file to your computer.

Step 11: Attach the essay and criteria files to an e-mail (one MSword document and one is an Excel),  and send to your professor at lisahere@cau.ac.kr

Assignment#1-Essay Criteria (xls file)
Use this criteria for example and assignment essay number 1.
