Weekly Assignments Weekly Assignments

v     PLANNERS – These should be signed every night.  Anything that is circled is considered homework and needs to be completed by the following day, unless indicated otherwise.  You will notice that some items have been initialed and checked off by a teacher, which lets you know that this has been finished.  Completed work should be in their finished pocket inside of their binder.  This gives you an opportunity to help them check it over before they turn it in.

v     GEO’s – These geography activities are always given out on the first day of the week and are due on the last day of the week.  Students are urged to complete these at school because the atlas they use is a paperback book and they tear up so easily.

v     DOL’s – The Daily Oral Language assignments are given out on the first day of the week and are due the next week.  Students are to try to edit 2 sentences daily.  We check them together, and then they have to write out those two sentences as a perfect copy.   Grades are taken from the hand written sentences.  If there is one mistake in the sentence then the whole sentence is wrong.  It is always a good idea to proofread the final copy before turning it in.

v     SPELLING – The spelling units are assigned every two weeks and the test will be on the last day of the second week.  Workbook assignments are given on Monday and due on Thursday.

v     MISSING WORK – Unfinished assignments are written at the bottom of the daily planner and are updated daily.  Students with missing assignments lose their recess until the work is completed.  I will initial the assignment when I have received it.
