I am an Atlanta native and live in the Parkview community. I graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education. I earned my Masters Degree from Oglethorpe University and completed my Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction at Lincoln Memorial University. This is my 17th year teaching and my 12th year at Camp Creek. I have taught Kindergarten, Readiness, First, Second, and Third grades. I am excited to be looping with my class to third grade this year. My daughter, Ansley, recently graduated from Georgia College & State University and is currently a PR Intern at the Georgia Aquarium. My son, Tradd, will be a freshman at Georgia College & State University in the fall.
My philosophy for the classroom is to create an environment where students are actively involved in activities to achieve learning and given opportunities to discover and develop knowledge. My respect for students and an understanding of their developmental needs help me create a productive classroom where each child can reach their full potential.
