They use what they know from the text and the pictures to help them think about what will happen next. Week 2 Summarize As your child reads a selection, have them stop, think, and discuss what they have read to make sure they understand the story. After reading the selection, your child should then only tell you the most important parts of the story. Week 3 Evaluate Students should ask the following questions about the text during reading, and after reading: Do I like what I am reading? Do I agree or disagree with what I have read?
