Welcome to our Class Homepage! I would like to welcome all of the families to first grade. The 2009-2010 school year will be both an exciting and challenging year for your children. They will be working diligently to improve their reading, writing, and mathematical skills. Together, we can help them so that their first grade experiences are not only memorable, but successful as well.
Please click on the classroom news section for schedules and important date reminders. The homework section will provide suggestions for daily practice of the skills being taught in the classroom. The classroom resources section will keep you updated on the curriculum. Please make an effort to check these areas on our website to read about what is happening in our class. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your child, please do not hesitate to contact me via telephone and/or email. Thank you for caring about your child's education. It will really help to make your child's first grade experience a rewarding one! *************************************************************************** PARENTS Please have your child practice tying their shoes. It is a life long skill that can be easily mastered with more practice. Our goal is for each student in our class to be able to tie their own shoes by the end of the school year.
