Remember, grading is weighted as follows:

Tests:                                       35%

Homework/Quizzes:                   25%

Labs:                                        30%

Final Exam (Comprehensive):     10%

Finally, a message to parents:

Chemistry is a difficult course.  We cover 18 chapters of the textbook in one semester!  To be successful in this class, students should be working on something in chemistry every night:  reading the chapter, completing chapter worksheets, going over notes from today’s lecture, working problems at the end of the chapter, writing lab reports, studying for a test or quiz, or working on a major project.  Parents, if your child is NOT doing chemistry for 2 or 3 days in a row, they will quickly get behind!
