Please note that this piece of technology is suggested for each family.

Because there will be times that you will begin a project in class and finish it at home, we are suggesting that students who will be required to complete projects, to purchase a jumpdrive. What are they? They are newer technology than floppy disks. We recommend a USB Flash/Jump Drive. A jumpdrive that has the capacity of 128M drive = 88 diskettes and a higher capacity can be 256M drive = 175 diskettes.

You may purchase them for the cost approximately $25 to $40 at anywhere they sell computer supplies: WalMart, CompUSA, Best Buy, etc. A few: Geeks Squad (manufactured by SanDisk for Best Buy) SanDisk (available at Best Buy, Target, WalMart), PNY (available at Best Buy, Target, WalMart)

Please note on Lexar drives: Please DO NOT purchase the SHORT, WIDE jump drive. It may not fit in the USB port because it hits the parallel printer cable. DO NOT purchase a "SECURE" drive. They are not compatible with Windows 2000 and difficult to install an Windows 98. DO NOT purchase a "Traveller" jump drive. They are not compatible with Windows 98. If you purchase a drive that is not recommended, we cannot guarantee that we can get it to work.
