All about me

The school year of 2009-2010 will be a very exciting and different year for me. My baby boy was born on July 28, 2009, and I will be out on maternity leave for the majority of the first quarter. I am always available via phone or e-mail to help with recommendations for seniors, or answer any questions or concerns my students or parents have. I have every confidence that my long-term  substitute will do an excellent job of keeping my classes running smoothly and effectively while I am gone.

My background:

This will be my third year at John Paul II High School, and my second year to teach English III CP and English IV CP. I have also taught English I in the past. Before coming to JP II, I received my Master's Degree from University of North Texas in May 2007, and my Bachelor's degrees in English and Psychology from Texas Tech University in 2004. Before teaching at John Paul II, I taught Freshman Compositon and TAMS: Writing about Literature at University of North Texas.  

In my spare time I enjoy movies, witty banter, tv, reading, traveling, scrapbooking, dancing, and spending time with family,  friends and dogs.
