THIS IS THE FIRST OF TWELVE MANDATORY LABORATORIES IN AP BIOLOGY. STUDENTS INVESTIGATED THE PROCESSES OF DIFFUSION AND OSMOSIS BY USING DIALYSIS TUBING AS A SELECTIVELY PERMEABLE CELL MEMBRANE. STUDENTS ALSO TESTED THE EFFECT OF SOLUTE CONCENTRATIONS ON WATER POTENTIAL, AND RELATED IT TO LIVING PLANT TISSUES.
